New Adult Romance Book Recommendations

Happy Valentine’s day to you all! I hope you all have a lovely day whether you are spending it with a loved one, friends or by yourself! Here are some new adult romance book recommendations for those of you looking for a great book to read during a time when love is in the air. These are some of my favourite romance books I have read and I hope you also enjoy them if you do pick them up!

Wallbanger
Wallbanger by Alice Clayton
  • Set in San Francisco – Caroline moves into her new apartment and on the first night she ends up hearing how great her neighbour Simon is in bed as not only does he keep Caroline awake at night through being loud but his “harem” of women make the most peculiar noises.
  • One of the funniest new adult romance books out there. I literally could not stop laughing.
  • Love the characters and this is such an easy book to fly through as I ended up staying up all night listening to the audiobook as it was that addicting!

Spinning Out
Spinning Out by Lexi Ryan
  • Deals with some heavy topics as both Mia and Arrow are dealing with the aftermath of the accident that killed Mia’s brother and left her boyfriend and Arrow’s best friend in a vegetative state. Mia ends up moving into Arrow’s house to act as a nanny to his younger sibling and Arrow cannot escape their complicated past.
  • This is a perfect romance for those that love morally grey characters as no one is painted to be the saint of the story, they just all feel human! You love some of their personality traits and then others you’re not really a fan of and I loved that.
  • A mind-blowing ending and this book will just keep you reading until you finish it as I definitely could not put it down.

I Dare You
I Dare You by Ilsa Madden-Mills
  • Delaney is a good girl, a lover of fluffy kittens and Star Wars. One night she receives a text message from “Badass Athlete” with a dare, to spend one night in his bed and she can solve the mystery of who he is. After their hook-up she finds out its Maverick Monroe, bad boy, most talented football player in the country.
  • It’s basically a college romance between a bad boy and a nerdy girl and I really enjoyed it! I loved the beginning of this book as the two characters met at a party and he kissed her and told that the kiss would leave her always remembering of him as the place they kissed was special. Delaney and Maverick are great characters and I adored them as a couple.

Dearest Clementine
Dearest Clementine by Lex Martin
  • Twenty-year-old Clementine has been through a lot, heartbroken by her high school boyfriends betrayal and stalked by a professor her freshman year of college, she doesn’t mind being called closed off and bitchy, it keeps her safe. She ends up signing up for a romance writing class where she material for her latest assignment. Sexy RA Gavin doesn’t mind playing the part of book boyfriend to help find some inspiration. Of course they grow closer together and get entangled in the mystery surrounding a missing Boston University student.
  • Another easy read that you can easily finish in a sitting as there is so much happening. The characters, both main and side, have flaws but that’s what makes them so realistic and interesting to read about.
  • I absolutely love Lex Martins writing and each book in this trilogy that follows different characters but are ultimately companion novels as they all interlink.

Sincerely, Carter
Sincerely, Carter by Whitney G.
  • We follow Arizona and Carter as they are in college and have been best friends for years, however their friendship started off as them “hating” each other. However one day they start seeing each other as more than best friends, are they going to take it to the next level or just stay best friends.
  • Such a good friends to romance relationship! I loved my time reading this book as at first there was literally no sexual tension between the two best friends and they just had the best friendship!

The Hardest Fall
The Hardest Fall by Ella Maise
  • Zoe Clarke and Dylan Reed meet under unusual circumstances, well Dylan has his hand over his private parts but not for the reason you think as Dylan is actually a really sweet football player.
  • I love Zoe and Dylan, Zoe always makes a fool of her self in front of guys she is attracted to (just like me, so relatable) and Dylan is a cute, sweet guy.
  • It’s a great college romance with American football and the NFL thrown in and I really need to reread it as I really miss the characters. Plus they start off as friends and even have a bet about who is going to kiss who first and it was adorable!
  • Any Ella Maise book is amazing as I have enjoyed every one I have read by her so you really can’t go wrong.

The Deal
The Deal by Elle Kennedy
  • Hannah and Garrett strike a deal, they will fake date each other to make the guys she fancies notice her and in return Hannah will help Garrett pass a psychology class he needs in order to stay on the hockey team.
  • Perfect for readers that love reading about cocky hockey players that fall hard for girls that bring out a different side to them. I loved all the scenes with Hannah and Garrett, especially when they would sit in Garrett’s room and watch Breaking Bad and eat pizza, loved it!
  • Plus after you become addicted to this book you have three more books following Garrett’s hockey friends – Logan, Dean and Tucker and their love stories.
